Headington Fairtrade Co-operative is a volunteer based organisation, and our success depends on the dedication of people who give their time, expertise and energies without pay. We are hugely grateful to all our volunteers who have worked tirelessly on many aspects of the shop over the years. A paid, part-time manager helps provide consistency and vision while our volunteers are involved in many daily duties giving the shop a warm, welcoming atmosphere while making sure everything runs smoothly.
What does volunteering involve?
- serving in the shop
- unpacking stock
- pricing goods
- (re)stocking shelves
- maintaining records
- book-keeping and even some creative DIY!
How can I help?
We are always on the look out for new volunteers to join our friendly and enthusiastic team. If you prefer a regular slot or the odd shift on the rota, we would be interested in hearing from you. If you would like to consider joining our volunteer team and for further information, please contact us.
All our volunteers receive full training and guidance in the shop and work on a rota basis, with two people on duty at all times during opening hours.
